Wedding Lawn Games for Your Outdoor Reception Fête

Outdoor wedding lawn games are a killer way to keep kids and kids-at-heart busy at a reception. They’re even more rad at a no dancing reception. Take advantage of a good season and some outdoor space for Croquet, Bocce Ball, Cornhole, and giant versions of your favorite nostalgic games like Giant Jenjo (Jenga) and Giant 4. Plus, it’ll get your indoor gaming friends out into familiar territory.

Let’s get to the games!

Cornhole:

Arguably the most popular yard game seen at weddings is Cornhole. It is certainly an entertaining pastime for guests of all ages!

Giant Jenjo (Jenga):

Giant Jenjo (Jenga) is just as suspenseful and fun as the normal-sized version! The large pieces also make this game a little easier for smaller guests to play.

Giant 4:

The Giant 4 game just got a huge upgrade. This is one of the top game in our best wedding lawn games list, simply because it looks like so much fun.

Bocce Ball:

Bocce ball is a truly classic yard game that I’ve seen recently at weddings and requires 2-8 players with very little equipment to play. You simply need a court and a set of bocce balls to get started. Tons of info exists for how to play bocce ball, too. Check out the video below for more info.

Croquet:

As a wedding yard game, croquet can keep any age group entertained for hours. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that you do need a designated area for it, as the wickets in the game can easily trip guests up during the reception when not clearly marked. Playing croquet isn’t too hard, either. Simply watch an instructional video or two, and you’ll be ready to play.
